nvited to customize a Mickey to be showcased at the upcoming Singapore Toy and Comics Convention (STGCC 2011) as part of Play Imaginative’s (of Trexis fame) new vinyl toys collaboration with Disney.
Decided to go with a chinese porcelain motif around a dragon character. Had to prime the piece first before using fine paint markers to detail it out. Quite a challenge to get round the grooves, nooks and crannies. Well worth it though.

singapore cable car x oic (organisation of illustrators council) cable car design as part of national day celebrations. invited as one of the 10 oic artists to design stickers to wrap the cable cars. since the fireworks display has always been the highlight of national celebrations, i incorporated it into my design along with other iconic visuals of singapore. click here for more photos.
had the honour of contributing to the fun pack design. having grown up watching the skyline change at an unerring rate, i am amazed and proud of the exact and deliberate planning that goes into shaping our cityscape as well as the sheer speed with which this tiny red dot is growing both in terms of infrastructure as well as presence. so i decided the visual should be done in a continuous line to represent the collective and unceasing effort we have put in. coincidentally the straits times, singapore’s main newspaper, carried the photo-story on the front page along with a separate article on MAS (monetary authority of singapore). what are the odds, eh?
